Description The Sounds of Spring Concert promises an evening filled with live music, delicious seasonal treats, and great company at Corpus Christi Church, nestled in the heart of Brixton. Performing will be the Medea String Quartet, playing renowned works by Schubert and Beethoven, with the Mayor of Brixton in attendance. There will also be a fully licensed bar. About the quartet Based in London, the Medea String Quartet won ensemble of the year (2023) and consists of acclaimed players Gabriel Bilbao, Violin (MA, Royal Academy of Music, London), Clara Mezzanatto, Violin (Royal Consevetoire, Birmingham), Hin Kin Suen, Viola (MA, Royal Academy of Music, London), and Ada Guarneri, Cello (MA, Royal College of Music, London). In 2022 the quartet was selected for the “MERITA” Platform (Amsterdam), Le Dimore del Quartetto network and Chamber Studio, London. They were awarded the Fondazione Olly scholarship at Accademia Perosi (Italy). They have performed in prestigious venues all over Europe. Programme: String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, Franz Schubert String Quartet No. 3 in D major, Op. 18, No. 3, Ludwig Van Beethoven
